Overview
We were engaged by the plaintiff after the yacht he bought failed to meet the standards of his purchase agreement and was alleged to be unsafe and unseaworthy. The suit was filed in Federal Court in Boston to recover the cost of making the necessary and critical repairs to maintain a functioning vessel.
Our Role
Our role was to help demonstrate that there were defects in the manufacture and assembly of critical components involved in the safety and seaworthiness of the vessel at issue. One concern was that a jury might hear technical issues and dismiss many of them as cosmetic or trivial. The animations of the failure of these components and the necessary repairs and modifications were critical in obtaining a favorable jury verdict on behalf of our client.
